TOM HOWARD: The most common type of abuse that we see in a nursing home is a pressure ulcer. We also see in addition to pressure ulcers or sometimes with the pressure ulcers falls, elopements, which is leaving the facility when it's not safe, dehydration and poor nutrition, and sometimes physical or sexual abuse. We represent our clients in claims against nursing homes in an attempt, in an effort to bring justice to what's happened, to tell the nursing home and tell the people who run the nursing home that what they've done is wrong.
